In regards to the hippos, I just learned that fact saturday night. One of my friends has a boss that is a big game hunter, and he travels to africa etc informed us of that fact. I also learned saturday night, that in the 1970s zookeepers at the st. louis zoo would BBQ an animal after it died and eat it. I dont know if I believe this or not, but my friend said a buddy of his has pictures of a bunch of zookeepers standing around a spit, with a big elephant leg on it. Im going to do my damndest to see those pictures though.

wow, thats awesome if true. I have a hard time believing it tho. Dont they get attached to the animals? That would be like eating the family dog after it dies.

Or maybe the one handler sits there sobbing hysterically while the other keepers chow down, which would be even more awesome
