bet the pot on the flop. You have a vulnerable hand, but no reason to think it isn't best. I know that you might often check here after missing so you lose on deception, but there are other factors to consider as well (being called by a worse hand, not giving up the pot to a draw).

As played I like your river fold but think it's close. Villain could think you are defensively showdown bound after the turn c/c, but may also think you have a hand like JJ/TT that you can lay down, or could have KQ/JT and be looking for value. I'm not sure of the frequencies of each but I'm inclined to think that he is value betting a better hand more often than he is floating+double barreling you.

Though I think betting the turn would've been better.
