Re: Kobe... 50 in 4th straight game...
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Well, Kobe only got 43. That's his 9th highest total for this year. [/ QUOTE ] Didn't get to see the game, but from the stats looks like he was settling for alot of jumpers, he was way down on FTs from the 4 50+ games [/ QUOTE ] Definitely true. |

Assani, If he was interested in debating the topic with you, he would have. As it is, he feels he has a +EV bet against you (and I agree). That's all he wants. [/ QUOTE ] KyleB, I don't frequent this board to simply here opinions given without reasoning. Nobody really learns or gains from that at all. I try to discuss and debate things and further formulate my opinions based upon insight gained from the debates. |

[ QUOTE ] The suns were #2 last year without amare. Besides steve nash, who else does the suns have? [/ QUOTE ] Shawn Marion and Boris Diaw, both very good players. [/ QUOTE ] Did you know who Diaw was before the 05-06 season? Credit to Nash? I think so. Keep in mind that the Suns had Marb, Marion, and Amare and failed miserably to make the playoffs. Yes Amare was weak back then. Credit to Nash on improving him? |

Nash plays along side some of the best players in the NBA. NASH IS A SYSTEM PLAYER. NASH IS A SYSTEM PLAYER. NASH IS A SYSTEM PLAYER. What happens if Nash is on the Atlanta Hawks? The Celtics? The Grizz? etc..... Wake the [censored] up. [/ QUOTE ] Watch more basketball =) |

[/ QUOTE ] Did you know who Diaw was before the 05-06 season? [/ QUOTE ] A unique talent being utilized incorrectly. He was a point guard in Atlanta. [ QUOTE ] Keep in mind that the Suns had Marb, Marion, and Amare and failed miserably to make the playoffs. Yes Amare was weak back then. Credit to Nash on improving him? [/ QUOTE ] Before Nash showed up, Amare was a 21 year old who was scoring 21 ppg. What's so special that he increased his scoring when he turned 22? The 03-04 Suns were a team with a lot of young talent but a lot of problems. A coaching change and injuries to Amare were chief among them. Note that Amare missed 29 games in 03-04. In those games, the Suns were 7-22 (.241); with him, they were 22-31 (.400). Also, in the games with Marbury and Amare, they were 8-10 (.444). The year before they were 44-38 and actually made the playoffs. So don't try to act like a team or Marbury, Marion, and Amare couldn't win 30 games. They were roughly a .500 team. Nash, of course, was an improvement over Marbury. But you have to look so much deeper than records over two years. |

[/ QUOTE ] My argument is pretty simple you are giving me even money that a player will perform close to two standard deviations from his average. That is massively +EV. |
