I've seen alot of the better players say that they play different games at different stakes. Why is it that a tighter game is more successful at lower stakes such as .5/1 and 1/2 compared to 3/6 and higher?

fwiw, I usually play way looser at lower stakes, especially in position

a tighter game is more successful at lower stakes because people don't adjust

Players talk alot about how they open with more hands depending on aggressiveness/passiveness etc. of tables and that every table is different. What kinda aspects affect your starting hands.

[/ QUOTE ]

if you're getting reraised a lot, don't bother playing hands that are barely profitable normally because you're not going to get to see the flop as often

if your opponents are putting tons of pressure on you postflop, don't play hands that aren't going to withstand a lot of heat even when they flop good (tpgk)

if your opponents give too much action and rarely get aggro without two pair or better, play more hands that do well hot-and-cold (high card strength)

Play any two cards. Just know why you are playing them and have a plan for them postflop.

Is there a major theory post about 3betting and playing against raises in general, both in and out of position? Thats something I suck at, I never know what to do with stuff like KQo in the BB vs a button/CO raise, especially if the raiser is loose and calling 3bets lightly.

When you say looser, do you mean by over limping in a limped pot, or raising with more hands from the back and c-betting more in position?

It seems like a lot have had some success by over limping a lot of hands that would *normally* be a raise at higher stakes like BDWY's and connectors.
