1/2nl tons of out on the turn OOP.
Villain runs at 23/16/3. I wasn't sure what to make of his flop min reraise, but I was just wondering what people would do here on the turn? Would you lead out? Or would you opt for a check reraise? And if we reraise are we shoving? Or reraising enough to pot commit ourselves?

Re: 1/2nl tons of out on the turn OOP.
This deep I am putting in another bet on the flop, his line looks a lot like a TP 'finding out where it is at'.
As played I call the turn, you have a lot of outs, you are deep, though the reverse implied odds are a little worrying. |

Re: 1/2nl tons of out on the turn OOP.
Looks like he could be on a flush draw to me, but we could be commiting ourselves with a c/r, and then well prob have to follow up on the riv if a safe-ish card hits. I think I like flat calling then on the river betting out a safe-ish non flush card, c/cing a modest bet if the flush card hits, and c/ring if 1 of our non-heart straight cards hits. Could be totally wrong with this thou.

Re: 1/2nl tons of out on the turn OOP.
turn is a call. you'll have like ~229 by the river, the pot will be near ~200. should set yourself up with a nice healthy bet if you improve/c/f if you dont.
i dont really like a flop b/3b given the size of his bet. leaves for really awkward turn play. you make it ~90 on the flop, he either calls or shoves, ugly spot on a blank turn if he calls. |

Re: 1/2nl tons of out on the turn OOP.
I like the play on the flop. On the turn you can just call, or if you think he's playing with top pair, eg KQ/KJ etc etc then you could consider pushing if you think you've got enough FE - but I prefer just to call.

He's laying you almost straight up odds to call on the turn (without implied)... take it.

How bad is shoving this turn?

Re: 1/2nl tons of out on the turn OOP.
Maybe I suffer from FPS on this one, but I think a turn c/r shove is kind of sexy. Villain could have raised the flop with a Q to see where he's at, or as a bluff, or with a FD...
He'd have a hard time calling with a Q, and we're ahead of both a bluff and FD. IF he calls with a Q or happened to hit the straight, we still got good outs... I know we have direct odds, but that doesn't necessarily make calling better than pushing. |
