Re: Magic the Gathering Online
I quit playing live shortly after I completed my Fallen Empires set, early in Homelands if that tells you much.
I've dabbled online a couple times since (on GCCG), but nobody plays the old cards and old rules anymore so I tend to drop off quickly. |

Re: Magic the Gathering Online
yeah, current standard is hella hard...lots of 50/50 60/40 matchups. (I'm a tournament player!) so...it's troublesome. That's why I'm playing warcraft3 now I guess :P

Re: Magic the Gathering Online
I never got into online that seriously, but it's pretty good. MTGO V3 comes out relatively soon; it should improve tournaments, draft queues, trading, stability, leagues eventually, etc etc.
I'd play online more if I had the time/money. |

Re: Magic the Gathering Online
I used to play the paper game years ago, probably stopped around '95 or '96. I picked up MTGO last year and enjoyed it for months, but I decided there were plenty of other things I'd rather spend my time/money on than online Magic. Still, if you enjoy the game you'll probably like the online version. The only thing I dislike about the online game is the mechanical way you have to go through some of the steps. The paper game is soooo much faster (unless it takes you forever to shuffle).

Re: Magic the Gathering Online
MTG is just an overly expensive variation of RPS.
p.s.: I used to own two(!) black lotus and every mox :P |
