Movies that you love but got terrible reviews

Rotton Tomatoes sucks. I never visit that site because I just don't care about the opinions of 'movie critics'. (why should I??)

But the movies I had in mind are already mentioned.
fear and loathing in las vegas 41 (that's just ridiculous)

Armageddon - 41%
13th Warrior - 36%
The Alamo - 31%
The Life of David Gale -- 20%

I'm not going to visit that site for more movies, I'm sure I don't agree with half the ratings.

20% for HOOK?? How is that even possible. It is a classic of my childhood.

A movie I enjoyed a lot as a kid that no one ever seemed to like was Waterworld. Nobody around me liked it then, it got a 36% on TC and people on this forum seem to think its trash also. I haven't seen it in awhile, but I think I may still like it if I saw it again.

Hook isn't good. Have you seen it lately? The Neverand atmosphere sucks, it should be more green and lush and waterfalls and beautiful.

The Fear and Loathing rating is so far off it's crazy. However, swearing of RT isn't really a good idea - on average I'd say the site gives you a pretty good indication of what you're in for.
