Sometimes I minraise the flop. Depends on the situation. Unless he has KK, you are only worried about a A, Q or J peeling off, putting a higher set on the board and or making a straight possible. Still, you have to call the turn push. |

At this level will most villains lead out for 3/4 pot with top set? It's been my experience that a check would cause more concern than a continuation bet, but I could be way off here.

[/ QUOTE ] Good point. The time to minraise here is when a flush draw is on the board. Makes it look like you are drawing. Plus, if you smoothcall with a flush draw out, and the flush hits the turn, you might lose your customer. Better to get more money in on the flop in that situation. |
