Default Uhhh..hmmm 200nl

Villain is I am A Walrus...probably one of you guys. He's running 28/22/3. His range is pretty wide from the CO. I've noticed that he can get pretty tricky, and has the ability to call down rather lightly (He called me on 3 streets with 88 on a K high board). His river bet struck me
as sort of large/strange because it sure looks like I have a hand like JJ or QQ. Wouldn't he want to make a smaller valuebet here considering my range? All comments appreciated.

If you 3bet preflop I think you should cbet almost every single heads up pot.
Lead the flop for $35 or so. Would you even check QQ/JJ here? You should also be leading them most of the time on a K high flop as the pre flop aggressor.

this is pretty flow dependent but given stats of villain and the line you took I'd probably call here. The only better hands he's likely to bet like this legitimately are AK and sets and sometimes KQ so I expect his bluffing frequency to be >30%.

Agreed. I couldn't get myself to pull the trigger. It really looked like he was bluffing with a hand like 77 88 or TT

Given that you didn't bet the flop and you know he's capable of tricky stuff I think you have to call this river. We're really not afraid of much on this board except KQ or AK and I think there's a strong chance AK 4bets you pre so we have to discount that just a little. If he has a set here I'm paying him but I think we have to call after we've shown so much weakness. He probably puts us on TT-QQ.

I would bet the flop in this spot. your check behind makes this river a fold

Bet the flop.
Since you didn't, re raise turn or call river.

looks like a call.

He could easily put you on a 88-QQ here (not 99 obv).

Especially if you've shown to be reasonable with your folds.
