Default Can I get away from KK here?

3/6 NL 6 handed, 4th hand played, villian is unknown, effective stacks 600.

Hero is in the CO w/ KK

UTG raises to 21
MP 1 calls 21
Hero raises 54 to 75
Button folds
SB folds
BB calls 75
UTG folds
MP 1 calls 54

POT = 249
FLOP 9d 6x 2d

BB check
MP 1 check
Hero bets 225
BB folds
MP 1 raises 300 to 525
Hero calls 290 and is all in

Every thing about the hand is screaming set set set! But I look at the final pot of 1279 and consider the final call of 290 to be pretty basic. There's enough donks and aggros playing 3/6 that at least a 1/3 of the time I see a smaller pair or a draw/combo draw. Agreed? or is my thinking flawed?

So, did I not raise the correct amount PF?
Did I bet too much on the flop?
One big problem I had was that I had no read on the villain.
Never seen him before. So was that the root of my problem? Certain people I play w/ this would be an easy fold or call. It really bothers me that this was against an unknown player. Give him the benefit of the doubt and fold?

Result, villain has set, 999

The way you played it you should never get away. You could be up against a smaller overpair or a poorly played draw as easily as a set here. I think your preflop raise was slightly too small. You gave small pairs the correct price to draw to sets against you. A pot size preflop reraise (72 to 93) seems like a better choice to me given the stack sizes.

wow this is the dumbest post ever. Easiest get the chips in ever. He can have worse pair, draw so many times here, set is very unlikely.

Actually, your post is a bit dumber.

Dude has 4 posts, put TWO AND TWO together and figure out that he hasn't been a TWO PLUS TWOER for long.

He's obviously reaching out to you for help. Don't be a dick. You had 4 posts once too, and they probably haven't all been as brilliant as the last one.

If you don't like something about the way his question was posed, either don't answer it, or criticize constructively.

Oh, and OP, don't fold, just lose.
Villain's range is sooooo much wider than hands that beat you.

PF raise could be a little more.
