I kinda skimmed over most of the math stuff, but it looks like a great intro to ICM for someone who is new to the concept. You basically summed up 90% of what this forum is, haha. [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

Good article, lucidly written. Pretty basic stuff for most SNG devotees of course. One thing I thought you might stress was that the advice to move in with any two can be wildly wrong versus opponents who play suboptimally. I've never played a $11 in my life but I imagine moving in here with 72o would be suicidal.

Edit: For example, you might point out without going through all the maths that versus opponents who call top 25% here, which is not at all unheard of for loose opponents, moving in with 72o loses $10.66.

not necessarily true. just because $11 players are bad, that doesn't mean they are all very loose. Some are very bad because they are too tight.
