14 team yahoo H2H league
standard 5x5 scoring If guy 1 takes Pujols, what's my move? I'm thinking Jose Reyes. I know I'm going Pujols if hes there. Thoughts? |

Jose. A serious case can be made for Johan in a H2H league rivaling Pujols, but even if YOU think that very few others will, thus its not a value pick. Go Reyes.

I'm opposed to picking any pitchers within the first five rounds. You can get some amazing steals towards the end of a draft in the pitching column.
That said, go with Reyes. His power production is bound to go up and he can run like the wind blows. |

Here's how my team ended up. I focused mainly on offense first, then got decent pitching in the later rounds. I feel like these guys can get me some wins and Ks, but I'll have to luck out to win ERA and WHIP categories. Also, I thought there were 2 RP lineup slots but since there's only one, I'll probably drop Meredith for another starter who I can rotate in (daily lineup changes).

Graffanino for a sleeper maybe. if griffey, garret anderson (i think he will have a solid year), or frank thomas are avaible i would consider them |

I still don't understand why there is such a disparity between Soriano and Reyes, aside from the fact that SS is not as deep as OF.

[/ QUOTE ] Reyes is only 23 so it's easy to look at last year's line and think "hey, he's still improving so think how great it will be when he improves on all those numbers!" Since Soriano is 31 with a big fat contract, it's easy to look at last year's line and think "that's good, but he's in decline so all those numbers should drop off next year." |
