Yeah I dunno, in that context I get where you're coming from. I just assumed he meant "movies we watched and liked as kids" which could range back indefinitely I suppose. I mean I was born after Star Wars, but the original 3 SW movies were favorites of mine as a kid so I counted them, I dunno.

I have the Goonies on DVD, still watch it today and find it twice as funny as I did back then. Still watch ghostbusters too.

or, and this may just sound crazy. the OP liked movies from hi own generation, AND has seen them lately.
