Default 15-30 live, tough river spot,,,,,,,,,

15-30 at canterbury

its the usual crowd, i recognize all the players and i know how they tend to play. full table. my image is the same as always i think, tight aggressive.

terrible player limps MP

i raise on button with A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

BB calls (regular named eddie)

MP calls

3 handed

flop: J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

BB bets, MP calls, i 2 bet, BB 3bets, MP calls, i call

turn: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
BB bets, MP calls, i call

river:K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
BB bets, MP calls, i 2 bet, BB 3 bets, MP folds

I ????? (puke?)

from what i know about the BB is that he is one of the tightest players in the game and rarely gets out of line.

Would 3-betting a T-high flush on the river be that out of line? He is prob thinking the same thing you should be. Only one hand beats you.

P.S. Eddie would 3-bet a T high flush here.

I like to cap the flop here, disguises you're hand better then just calling his 3bet imo..

If he swore under oath that he had 9Tc here I would still put 5bets in on the river.

can someone explain why were raising the flop when a really tight bb leads into 2 players? Free card ? I would say when a typical 1530 rock makes this play hes showing the hand down most of the time

Because you have a 35% chance of making a nut flush. Getting two calls on your bet with 2 cards to come is a good value.

this is assuming that BB doesn't 3bet the flop and drive MP out of the pot. if that happens, our value is gone. plus, just calling on flops like this and then popping the turn when we get there is more fun.
