I'm torn between the value of 3 betting for free showdown and getting BB off his QQ(his most likely holding, IMO), vs the implied odds of hitting our flush on the river if we call.

OP, what's MP's range here on the turn, and how often are we ahead of him?

"When we river a black T, and villain bets, we...raise/fold ? raise/call ? "

I think this depends if we are 3betting the turn or not, if we 3bet, and he just calls then leads turn, I would just call. if we just call the turn raise, then he leads river, i would raise, and considering how big the pot is call if 3b, but im not folding.

"Wow, I totally missed the fact that we turned so many outs. I would def consider 3-betting this. We are only getting 4-bet by 2 possible hands. Obv check river ui.
"

I was certain of a few things.
1) the possibility of the MP capping were low, very low, hes only doing it with a set imo, and I expect him to only have 1 pair here.
2) BB mucks if we 3bet, he didn't like the turn raise it was all over his face, and at this point the pot was big enough and I wanted him out.
3) If one of them did happen to have a set, and only a set (i dont see any 2 cards these types of players can have given their range to have 2 pair here). then I still have live flush draw outs.

MP's turn range is anywhere from ATs-AKo,KQs,KJs, 66-TT (he caps JJ and above pf imo & AKs) maybe also a suited connector. 8T,9T

Results:

Flop: J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
BB leads, MP calls, I call.

Turn: 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

BB leads, Mp raises, I 3bet, BB thinks for a sec. and folds, MP calls.

River: T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
MP checks, I bet, MP calls and mucks. im still not sure what he had here, maybe a SDFD? maybe AJ/KJ.. what do u guys think..

Did the BB tell you what he had, or give off any physical tells to suggest he threw away the best hand on turn?

He didn't say what he had.. I'm pretty sure his fold was based along the line of I knew he knew that I play that and I know he plays tight and im not raising this river with less then set/2pair type thing. Another reason I made the raise was to eliminate him from the hand, which I felt strongly would work, and a high possiblity he may have the best hand, but would muck based on my action and his read of my image. clearly if it was vs. a loose fish i dont know if this play would be such a good idea. if that makes sense..

i dont think this is the greatest spot to be mixing up you play on flop with this being a multi way pot and all

I don't like the p/f 3-bet or the flop call at all,but this was a nice spot for a 3-bet on the turn. It's dangerous, since it could easily get capped with you holding the worst hand, but still corredt, imo.

You're right. If it's a loose fish, don't try this cuz he'll be calling you anyways. I need to tell myself that every time I play.
