He was in a chatroom called the insult chatroom. I imagine if I was looking for kindness and someone to talk me out of killing myself, I might look for a a nicer crowd. My guess is he already made up his mind and wanted to guilt trip some people and went to a place where abuse was guaranteed. It's sad his life got to that point. Honestly if that happened here, no one would believe it either,and I would expect much the same response. The only difference is we would have some great ms paint jobs and graphs outlining his life and death.

Even if he would've done it anyway (which I agree is at least somewhat likely), this still doesn't make it normal/acceptable/OK for people to watch, enjoy and encourage this type of behavior. People commit suicide all the time. What makes it inherently more horrific or worse that he did so while online? I doubt the people encouraging him to do it really affected his decision. Yeah, i think its pretty clear he had this planned all along.
its not like he was in a chatroom for bird lovers, poker, or sports. He was in a chatroom specifically designed for insults. Maybe he thought the world is a cruel place, now I can make some people feel guilty about contributing to that, what better place? Also, this way he doesn't have to be found by one of his sons or something. Obviously the ultimate dick move, but I don't think these people deserve any blame.
