Call down. Expect to lose to SB's pocket sevens.

Call down. Expect to lose to SB's pocket sevens. [/ QUOTE ] SB has played his hand like a T, IMO, not pocket sevens. 77 would often raise the flop bet. He's trying to trap the 3rd guy, which generally means a strong hand. Raising is out, I'd probably call the turn and make a tough decision on the river. -eric |

Raising is out, I'd probably call the turn and make a tough decision on the river. [/ QUOTE ] He called 3 cold preflop; even considering that the two raises were both from LP, that's far more likely to be either a pocket pair or big ace than a hand including a ten (not saying an unknown never has a T, just that it's less likely). I can definitely see him then check/call this flop with an underpair, waiting for a "safe" turn card before making a play at the pot. While it's tough to rule out anything from an unknown, I tend to think that 77/88 are his most likely hands, with CO probably just holding overcards (maybe with a straight draw). |

Is this a wind-up? I don't mean all the smart-ass replies, I mean the thread itself? Anyway, if not this is a No-Limit hand Rico - Post it in the NL forums. Nobody seems to know what they are doing in this hand. If you play like this all the time I'd recommend moving down stakes - way down.

Re: over pair on a paired board. turn advice please.
With no read I would think calling down is the way to go.
Popping the turn would be interesting. Both players still have to react to our raise. And we could fold if it comes back 3 or 4 bets... CO has me creeped out here. Having said "pop it", you can tell the kind of players I normally play against. |
