NL100 Flop a straight on same-suit board - get raised and re-raised
No read on villain
$0.50 - $1 4-handed Hero ($80) Villain ($100) Hero is BB with A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] MP1 folds, Villain (button) calls, SB calls Flop (pot $3) 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] SB checks, Hero bets $3, Villain raises to $6, Hero re-raises to $21, Villain re-raises to $36, Hero? What's villain's range after his second raise? Do I play for stacks here? |

I don't play for stacks here. You have 0 outs if behind, he has some thousands if you happen to be ahead.
The way the action went, he has to have a flush or at very least a set. I don't really like the 3bet, as you bloat the pot with a very vulnurable hand. |

Re: NL100 Flop a straight on same-suit board - get raised and re-raised
I think 3-betting and then folding to a 4-bet is really bad. Why 3-bet if you're not committing the rest, given that he only has 80 BB? I think you have to call as played, and pray he has a set or a retarded A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]A.

The three bet commits me, but in this situation I don't think that's too much of a bad thing. I'm not keen on flat calling his first raise OOP. |
