[/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] God that would suck so bad. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] this really helps the fraternal bonds! [/ QUOTE ] In reality, it isn't as bad as it sounds. Most of the times when this happens (at least from my limited experience), the other pledges are notified that one of their own has been "pricked"(taken) and are sometimes told where they can pick him up. They are usually dropped off near a pay-phone and given some change, and can call the other pledges to come pick him up, or a friend if all other options are exhausted. Since their phones were confiscated when this occurred, this forced the pledges to memorize their brothers' cell-phone numbers in addition to the endless amounts of other personal information they needed to recall during line-ups. For what it's worth, the pledges could also do this to actives as well, so it wasn't merely the actives picking on the pledges, it went both ways. |

Please tell me it was two of those idiots in the RV that are suing. [/ QUOTE ] obv... i actually came across 2 kids that were in a frat at our rival school (akron, which is about 15 minute from kent state) that were sloshed downtown one night.. we asked about their akron t-shirts, and then got a story about how their frat brothers drove them to the bars in kent, they went into the bar, and 5 minutes later, their brothers (and the car) were gone. they offered us a 20 sack to drive us back to akron. we accepted, and drove them the 15 minutes back to akron, AFTER, of course, already securing the weed. we smoked a J on the way, and when we got there, they offered to get us drunk at their frat house, but we declined. i take pride in the fact that i've never been in a frathouse... |
