If I play an average of 35 events a year over the next five years thats a total of 175 events. I'll always be choosing the higher limit buy in events when there is a choice. Those games will usually be games where my edge is also bigger than normal (stud hl omaha hl).

For 5-1 odds to be correct I'd have to win 1 out of 175 tournaments.

I don't think I've ever come close to playing 175 consecutive tournaments without a win... but it "could" happen I guess.

Near as I can tell, You haven't won a tournament since 1/23/06. I'm guessing you've played 100+ events since, no? If so, I'd say that qualifies as "coming close", although I do like your chances with the odds.

Oh, and BTW, there is no god.

Nowhere near 100+. I only play in $10,000 buy in WPT events or WSOP events. I'd say, not including the Poker After Dark sit n' go, I've gone about 45-55 tournaments with zero wins but a couple seconds and a third.

Oh, and by the way I think there is a God. I can't prove it to you, and that's why discussions about God often become very heated. Thing is, you can't prove that there is no God. You might "think" you can, but you really can't.

Antonius doesn't exist?

DN is a sick tournament player. Betting against him would be -EV.

Must be a thread somewhere that I missed. The burden of proof shouldn't fall on the non-believer though, but this is a classic reply from a believer.

As for the bet, I'd put my $$ on Daniel.

Your orignal post says nothing about 5 years, 'Win a bracelet in 2007'- Have I missed something?

I understand that you think you have a significant edge if you are getting 5-1 and I tend to agree with you. I'm curious what you think the true odds are. Would you say 3:1 would be a fair price?
