One time he was playing a cash table and i tried to sit down just to let him know i was there while watching and it wouldn't let me sit down, got a message that I couldn't play with him.

A buddy and I play in 2 table SNGs a lot We always have a $5 last longer bet. There has never been a problem.

I play with a friend quite a bit and we transfer money back and forth all the time. I definitely wouldn't try this on most sites, but I trust stars. And obviously I make it a point not to do anything that might seem fishy. In fact I probably play harder against him than anyone else b/c of this risk and the fact that we both really want to beat each other.

I have transfered 10 dollars about a dozen times to a friend of mine and then we go play micro cash games and SNG's together with no problem. We also NEVER share our cards and we play hard against each other. In fact I would rather win from him than anyone else. There are many hands we would have played differently if we were cheating, and it wouldn't take long for Stars to see that.

Speaking as someone who was on the collusion team, here's the real deal:

If your names come up in regularly-run collusion reports and the team notices that there are extensive transfers between you two, then yes, you are screwed. However, if you aren't doing anything wrong (not sharing cards, etc), then there is absolutely no problem whatsoever.

Don't listen to anyone else in the thread.

I've transferred to friends and then played cash games with them on Stars without issue.

Then again, that's probably because their normal games that I play with them are $1 sngs and .05/.10 NL and my normal games are 2/4 and 3/6 limit.
