maybe this is a stupid question, why not go with some trekkers rather than bootpacking the whole way

They're a bit heavier, but allow you to skin off, take them off and put them in your pack for the descent.

I hate booting up anything more than about 500m vertical, a 14 footer would drive me insane [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Wow thats a pretty cool product. Thanks for the heads up. Suprisingly expensive though [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]. Maybe I'll get them next season.
