From what ive seen, too many people who classify themselves as pros, on this site in particular, are nothing more than that "self proclaimed".... So to those that are pros and feel luck isnt a factor and a big one at that, obviously are clueless jokes of the game..... I can promise all that are new to the game that anyone that states luck doesnt play huge roles in ones success are clueless.... And if you all notice there is one in particular that strongly feels this way.... and if i recall is another self proclaimed pro... nothing more! Oh and another thing, a pro would be talking about poker on tv giving tips and not posting on a website his clueless opinion...... The mind has thought and now has spoken!!!!!!!

Please delete this post, this guy is just a hater that just lost his stack when he had the nuts on 4th street, luck plays a factor, but u play 50k hands you find out how lucky you are and you play the game the right way, or u lose and don't learn that it's a grind where people get lucky, but good players prevail.

Nah, you know what, I'm going to answer it seriously.

I'm one of these/those guys. I've been playing pro before I even became a member at 2+2. What 2+2 has taught me over the years, is that I'm not a genius, I'm not one of the chosen, I'm a good player, and at my best, doomed to be a guy who could grind it out for the rest of my life.

In the last four years, I've seen ups that some will never see, and downs that I can live with. I'll never be Aba, hell, I'll never be the guy who grinds 30/60 without getting bored and taking chances. If it'll make you feel better, yeah, you're right, sometimes "luck" or variance smacks us all in the face. Sometimes I've gotten over it like it wasn't anything, some months it's dominated my life.

If your post was written with the hopes of being right, well congratulations, you're right. Still beats working at the businesss I owned for seven years.
