Re: Set on a wheel board, tricky river play.
I think you played it OK. A bit bigger bet on the turn would have been good, but he probably would have called. I want to say check the river, but how can you? I'm a tight nit, so I might have, but it's probably the wrong play. What could he have here? Did he call in the bb with 33 or 67? I hope he has two pair or is bluffing a missed flush.

Re: Set on a wheel board, tricky river play.
Is this the kind of player that had been playing crap hands? He was in the BB and could have had a BB type hand he figured he was in for $1 and would call the preflop bet and see what flops. Maybe he turned a flush draw with a hand like 3 6 diamonds or had 33. I think you're beat. And yes, your turn bet was too small.

Re: Set on a wheel board, tricky river play.
Calling down with 3s? Don't think so... 67 (maybe of clubs) would be tough spot for you, but I don't really see how you can get away from this...
Definitely bet more on the turn. But play was ok overall... |

Re: Set on a wheel board, tricky river play.
You can't check the river against a tricky player. They will absolutely read for weakness and bet you off your hand. You have to make a pot sized bet on river.

[/ QUOTE ] kinda tough for them to do it they check, and then you check I think the turn bet is a little small, same for the river, I don't see him having a 3 all that often, or slowplaying 76 on the turn(though they are donkeys and might) so I'd call the raise |
