4/180 4 on flop Bad Call???

It has been a limpfest. My logic(which needs to be examined) was I had pot odds to call. However at the time I didn't discount for Ac 6c. Having your stack at 5500 this early is a advantage but, I am not sure worth this risk?? Thoughts?? MP3 seemed like a TAG, the others a bit looser.

normally I do fold..... but I hadn't had a hand in long while and I find if I limp once in a while when card dead I get more action when I do get cards. I only do it at 20 and 30 blinds... maybe I should quit it. Lose the risk of marginal plays like above.

If you don't play many hands, then wait until you can open raise. Limping in with a multi-way pot won't get you much unless you hit big. You'll be folding most of the time.

When the blinds are really small, just stay tight until the blinds matter. Don't try to get tricky.

i disagree. i think its fine to junk around in the early rounds so long as you are careful and dont donk off your chips too much. matter of style i suppose

These 4/180s seem to have more limping than I have ever seen. Trying to figure out the best way to take advantage?
I have been trying "completing" with anything at low blinds and hitting the odd flop. Not sure if it is a leak yet.

This has been much more effective for me, especially in the superloose 4/180. When its T20 BB and 8 players are seeing flops you can limp a lot of hands with good implied odds if you hit big.

By getting the weak players to stack off with TPMK early, you build a big stack for the middle rounds that lets you steal your way to the FT.

In theory anyway.

If you play too tight you end up on the bubble hoping your 99 holds up long enough to get your buy in back. IMO.

The odds of calling this pre flop look ok, but with a trash hand like this you have to hit big time or be in position to get a free card to see the turn.

As played you should of folded this on the flop even after BB reraised, as your pot odds were 2.77-1 on a 5-1 call. Also because everyone including you apart from MP3 were all in, you had no implied odds.

Best play - fold preflop.

Try to plan these hands ahead before making the inital call. I'd definitely complete here looking for an OESD and a cheap look at the turn where an ace falls and two pair/set slowplayer (very standard in these games) loses their stack. Calling all my chips on a likely 6 outer at best is not part of my plan regardless of pot size. Also..

This is level one so you can't have seen many hands yet, be patient. Fold to the flop action and concentrate on which players to exploit in a later hand when you're in a much better spot. In my opinion this perfectly illustrates why playing from the SB is so tough.
