KK 4 way Ace flops
Stars 5/10 5 handed
CO is the 24/13/1.2 chap who had 55 in the more bets with AA post. Button is 53/24/0.9 unknown UTG open raises, CO calls, button folds, I 3bet from SB with KK, BB calls, unknown calls, CO caps all call. 4 see the flop: A93 2tone (I don't have the right K) I check planning to give up pretty easy. BB checks, UTG checks, I decide to raise CO if he bets, CO checks. Turn: offsuit 4 I bet and hope whatever happens next will leave me easy decisions. Make sense so far or bet flop or anything else? ur behind co
everyone else is either ahead of u, calling two cold, or their hands sucks enough that u want them to call one |

The only one who is likely to have a 9 or 3 is BB, and that seems a bit unlikely. So you are either pretty far ahead or way way behind. The odds are that you are extremely behind to someones ace. If its not UTG, its definately BB. |

I know what you mean about being happy for the others to call one but then I have to play 3 or 4 handed out of position post flop with no idea where I stand. I really struggle here, do I chk-call blank turn and rivers (assuming no-one raises)? I feel like a mug doing that, or do I fold somewhere? chez |

I'm trying to avoid giving up when I have the best hand which isn't a problem if the correct plan is to call down. chez |

Re: KK 4 way Ace flops
This is tough. The way things played out, I'm wondering if we shouldn't bet-fold the turn to anyone but CO, and call down if he raises. I feel like when CO checks the turn, he almost never has an ace. If he got cute preflop with a suited ace, he isn't going to check the flop when there is a possible flush draw, he will want to protect his hand. He likely cold called with something like JTs, KQs, QJs and when he got all the cold callers thought he could get cute and cap.
I think button would be an easy bet-fold against on the turn, the only wild-card is UTG. But he is the one most likely to have something like AT-AQ and just never got a chance to bet. On the other hand, this hand has gone so wierd that maybe just check calling single bets to the river is best to avoid making a costly mistake here. I've made what I thought were "good folds" in these types of situations and ended up folding the winner. |
