Recipe for being outplayed, plus the only standard draw got there. I like C/C better.

I didn't really like the bet either, but I'm usually a big nit so I miss a lot of valuebets.

To those who say c/c, what's he betting on the river that I beat? He's almost never bluffing (only 1 real draw and it got there) and I think he checks behind most of the time with Tx, 9x type hands.

I don't think checking makes much sense, hard to see what he would bluff with..

I would bet smaller, maybe just 9 or 12 bucks.
He could call this with a worse hand, but I doubt he would when you bet $30.
That would be the bet's main purpose.
But secondarily it would act as a blocking bet, these type of players rarely if ever decide to pull a big bluff on the river when bet into, so I can safely fold to a (big) raise.

He might go for a thinner VB with the Ten. He may check behind (which is still good imo).

This guy was too passive to vbet river with a ten here. I don't disagree that him checking behind is good, my question was just regarding the c/c vs c/f river line.

standard.

edit: in response to some of the posts, if hero views villian as passive, then he's prolly not gonna try to bluff the river. I think if your willing to check call then you should definitly lead.

I think your more likely to get paid off by betting and getting called by a lower pair than you are to get paid off by check calling a bluff.

and fold to a river raise.
