u should put more bets in, his flop call looks like 9x, 66 or a flush draw. there are way more holdings ud beat than not (only 66 96 or J9 only 15 combos vs like 3 times as many hands u beat, JJ can pretty much be completely ruled out).
id 3bet the turn for sure and ck call the river if he capped i think, even then Im not sure if I should check-raise the river (probably not tho). If i didnt 3bet the turn Id definitely want to put more river bets in, probably check-raise calling. on a sidenote, not sure if this is much to think about but I think his hand looks more like a flush or 9x anyways than a boat. The same people who take this flop line with 96 or 66 often dont shut out the field on the turn with their monsters; whereas 9x or a small flush has to fear the potential river four flush. That hand reading (while not necessarily credible) is outweighted by his range anyways where u should put in more bets without giving that tidbit of thought much thought. |

i would still bet/call the river even if capped on the turn. i think it's trips/lower flush enough to make this correct.

Im really surprised u think that is best BBB. Dont u feel u get one bet in when ur ahead with either line? not like hes checking behind 98 or 87dd pretty much ever after he caps the turn with it and u check to him (ive pretty much never seen a villain do that, not enough where it warrants taking a line that costs us more behind and wins the same ahead IMO).
Im not check calling because I dont think I have greater than 50% equity against his range, Im check calling in this spot because betting out pretty much always gets 2 bets in behind and 1 ahead. If i felt my hand warranted putting more river bets in after this turn action Id pretty much always check-raise call rather than bet call (id only donk if I thought he was spewing enough or had a hand strong enough I wanted to bet 3bet). this is very general obviously and there are exceptions in roughly similar spots to this I'm sure. |

I'd also 3-bet the turn here.
I'm also wondering whether or not I would raise the flop for value on this paired board. I probably would but I could be convinced otherwise. |

I think you need to put in at least one more bet somewhere before you slow down.

[ QUOTE ]
bump Id like to go back to this. If we 3bet the turn and he caps, what is our river line? [/ QUOTE ] seems to me there are quite a few more trips/lower flush combos than FH/quad combos. J9, 99, JJ, 66 are all we are losing to(what 18 combos?). yep, pretty easy 3bet on the turn, call the cap and bet/call the river without a read. also, fwiw i don't think we are capped very often on the turn considering the board. |
