Yea, i can't get any results when I use -re: .

working okay for me. I just did search '-re: +nick' between 2 and 1 year ago, and got results.

Can you give the specific search term/date/forums, and I'll alert Chuck to it.

tnx
Carter

EDIT: gotcha. If it's just '-re:' it sees nothing.

IE 7 on vista

Preview post doesn't work it never loads
Hyperlink icon that uses a popup gives a browser warning about scripts - allowing scripts in turn seems to fix the preview post issue above.
A lot of pages give a javascript error.

Bradley, try making "http://newarchives.twoplustwo.com" a trusted site in IE (Tools->Internet Options->Security), and see if that helps...

That doesn't get rid of the javascript errors but it does make preview post work and doesn't prompt me to allow the site to run scripts.

However I don't think asking mainstream internet users to make it a trusted site is a viable option.

Edit - also adding it as a trusted site made each thread link clicked open in a new browser tab which is pretty annoying. While that's probably a configuration option within the security settings for trusted sites I'm not going to go through and figure out where to fix it. Removing the archiveserver from the trusted site list has fixed the each thread in a new tab issue.

Is anyone else running Vista and seeing problems? I don't have a copy to try it on.

fwiw, The reason I asked, was just to quick test whether it was an IE setting or a Vista issue...

What are the Javascript errors?

When I first load the forum the error is at line 540 char 1 (Object required).
When I click on a forum link the same error appears at line 539.
When I click on a thread link the same error appears at line 541.
When I reply to a thread the same error appears at line 541.

It doesn't really seem to affect functionality anywhere that I can see.
