Default Having a College Charity Poker tournament

Im having a charity poker tournament at my liberal arts college. We are hoping to get 50-100 participants with a 10 dollar buyin. Its going to be a speed tournament with escalating blinds. Heres what I need to know...

-What poker chips should I buy - Im going for the cheapest possible and my fraternity(which is running it) is really on a budget.
-How many chips should I give each participant to start with
-What should blinds be.

If you design my tournament and find cheap chips for this amount of people I will ship you 10 bucks on ftp/stars. Thanks. Also if you need me to clarify/explain something please ask.

I am working with someone at my college who is running a 300-person charity tournament. I can drop him a couple questions for you when I see him again Monday if you want to PM me some.

i did the same thing. basically we got everyone with a chipset to let us borrow them for a while. we pooled them all and clearly announced denominations. It was ghetto, but it worked.
As for blinds, we gave everyone 1500 chips to start with blinds at 10/20. They got raised every 15 minutes.

10/20
20/40
30/60
40/80
50/100
75/150
100/200
150/300
200/400
350/500
400/800
500/1000
1000/2000
1500/3000
2000/4000
2500/5000
etc.

i dont think it got very high though, it went way quicker than we thought
