Default Re: Taking free card vs. Giving free card, common situation..

Depends on who's there with me and the texture of the flop. Vs two nits I'll bet it... but if I'll get floated a lot I am willing to take a free card or make a continuation 2/3 pot bet trying to get out for relatively cheap. Whether I hold an A or J would play in the decision as well.

However, all in all, I am inclined to bet against 1 opponent almost always, and 2 most of the time, depending on position (of my opponents, since that will give some hints on their holdings, and the likelyhood they hold the nuts). 3... well.... unless at least 2 are weak tight, I am probably goign to take my free card. 4+, I am checking unless I got a club draw to go with my two pair.

A big consideration is how much fold equity do I have against a set/J9 with a cbet... and that really is opponent dependent.
