Wish I could have made it too. Next time, then.

Oh, and I know a couple rooms in downtown SF that can hold 2 or 3 poker tables and can be had for ~$100 a night, DOA. Pro: downtown SF! Con: no midnight waffles! If there's interest in a central/neutral location next time let me know and I'll scrounge up the details.

Peace.

lol, only someone who lives in the city would describe the city as a 'central/nuetral location'.

Fremont is about as central as you can get considering we had people coming from Monterey, Tracy, Peninsula. San Jose...I don't think anyone from Marin or Sonoma county came, so the SF people were probably the furthest north.

That being said, I'm probably selling my house and buying a house in Los Gatos in the next 6 months, so we'll probably have to find some place new anyway.

I think that JFK might be able to swing something at his place on the Peninsula.

Nothing wrong with a nice drive down to Los Gatos either. Except it can be real freakin hot in the summer.

I've said for a couple years now that I'd be happy to host. Tracy, however, conjurs up thoughts of cross country travel for Bay Area residents. Truth be told, it's really only 20 minutes farther than Soss's house considering the jaunt off the freeway to get there.

90% of Tracy residents commute somewhere in the direction of the ocean so I suppose our definition of "driving somewhere" might be different from the poor soul that sits on 880 for 45 minutes every morning to get to work........no wait....I take that back.......no difference.

My dentist is in San Jose. The drive doesn't phase me.

I'll bandy about the thought with the wife once the next one comes along. If certain phases of home renovation come along quickly it would up the probability.

Of course the downside is that my wife won't be making waffles.

The thought of renting a place is appealing as well.

Congrats on the good run in San Jose.

Guess I didn't realize how many of y'all lived in sticksville.

Yeah, I live downtown and don't have a car, so anything not on a BART line may as well be in Tahoe to me (rent/borrow a car, etc.). Can't blame me for trying.

Maybe a HORSE and/or SHOE and/or triple-draw night before the WSOP for a tune-up?
