If I want to keep playing at midnight, that's fine. I just stop for one calendar day and pick it right up at the start of the next one.

Guy.

When my play is -EV OR it's +EV but I'm bored/tired (obviously the latter wouldn't apply as much if I were a pro).

checkit,

I've been playing for many years now and still honestly have the same type of situation as you so your not alone.

Sometimes when I win a bunch in a quick session, I have the urge to stop because nothing is more frustrating than to be way up for the day and then have a bad run and go to bed down.

Like you also said, it's hard for me to quit when down because it's difficult to stop for the day and realize I am down. It sort of makes the day feel like a waste.

This is probably the biggest flaw with my game. Fortunately, I'm usually not real quick to tilt and can usually keep a level head and good play even when down. Maybe it would be just as good to just take a break if you are up or down a certain amount? I'm not so sure it's necessary to completely stop but I have found taking a little break good for the mind to sort of regroup...

I don't know if my winrate would be better if I employed a system but I've always wondered.

Definately try to stop when you feel like you are no longer playing well or the tables are dry regardless of what type of system you decide to use. I think that is probably much more important than continuing to play if who haven't reached some arbitrary goal...

hahah i am busto as [censored] because of this reason...
any time I lose i get frustrated since I feel I wasted my time so I move up .... Not a good idea sucks to blow a month+ of grinding in like 10 minutes....

I honestly dont think I have a day where I just lost a buy in... I either went up a fair amount or busto (thank god for frequent cash outs)

where is the option for 'one of my kids wakes up and starts to cry' or just a general 'real life intervenes'?
