[/ QUOTE ] Try the Quality Hotel Bayside Resort in West Atlantic City (part of the Choice Hotels group - Comfort Inn, Clarion, etc). Decent, clean place for a fairly low price, and less than 10 minutes from the action.

Comfort Inn on Kentucky/Boardwalk is my favorite AC dive. Clean enough, courteous desk folks, safe deposit boxes, edible breakfast. Book online use "internet rate". Walk to the Taj, Bally's or Caesar's. Stayed there many times, never saw a roach.

I used to know a couple of surfers from Long Island who would stay in a van in the parking garage (Usually the Showboat where it was free to park). They would surf in the mornings/afternoons, sleep in the afternoons/evenings and then gamble/drink all night.

You can find a decent motel on Route 30 in Absecon. Its about 10 miles from the Borgata.

Casinos in AC stink enough already without sweaty, non-showering people populating the place.
