nl10 AA IP, monochrome flop, size bet/fold
Villian is 44/25/3 over 17 hands, seems pretty aggressive
I've been 22/17/inf in same hands PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (9 handed) saw flop BB ($5.75) UTG ($11.70) UTG+1 ($3.85) Hero ($10.65) MP2 ($11.25) MP3 ($16.60) CO ($14.30) Button ($1.15) SB ($5.40) Preflop: Hero is MP1 with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. UTG raises to $0.3, 1 fold, Hero raises to $1.2, 6 folds, UTG calls $0.90. Flop: ($2.55) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) UTG checks, Hero ??? I'm thinking I'm betting and folding to a raise, but how do I size a bet I plan to abandon? It has to be the same 3/4 psb I'd make with a good hand, yes? I picked $2, and I'm folding to ANY checkraise, right? Or is it simpler to check behind and pray this aggressive opp doesn't bet the turn, with me wondering if it's a failed c/r or an induced bluff? |

Re: nl10 AA IP, monochrome flop, size bet/fold
bet and i probably call a shove from this villain. his range is wide and he could easily shove a draw as well as TP as well as a worse overpair.

Re: nl10 AA IP, monochrome flop, size bet/fold
Bet $2. Call a raise. Come on, a flushboard comes up and you give it up? Noway you are gonna fold!
Only plausible hands are AQs and AKs and possibly he's hit his set. But thats a big minority of the range he has preflop! Just call a C/R and reevaluate the turn. Check if checked to, if betted to it depends on the amount. |

Re: nl10 AA IP, monochrome flop, size bet/fold
whoa whoa whoa, at this limit I would almost never fold to a shove. I've seen people push all-in with flush draws so often that it almost makes me want to instacall. If you bet around $2 and he does something suspicious like raise to $6, then he's probably enticing a call with a made hand. Honestly, I think other overpairs 99-KK potentially shove here too, making it a profitable call.

Re: nl10 AA IP, monochrome flop, size bet/fold
maybe I'm dumb, but I've lost a ton of money at this level calling raises with top pair or an overpair.
And if there's two checkraises in a session, it's a surprise. This guy isn't so aggro that I think he checkraises with less than a set. But then again, it nags me that everybody slowplays hands like that (ie, chck/call flop, c/r turn or river instead). Am I just a predictable fit/fold type that's easy to exploit? he minraised back... |

Bet 3/4 to potsize and call a shove. Villains range is soooooo wide.
