Best Laptop for 1500$?
Hi! Can somebody please recommend me a laptop for a budget of around 1500$ (does it make sense to spend more?)
I want the highest screen resolution for multitabling prima miniview up to 9 tables and it should not be to heavy for travelling. Thanks for your help! |

Re: Best Laptop for 1500$?
The Alienware's Area-51 m5550 with the WUXGA screen is your best bet for that price. If you spend about $400 more, you can go with an IBM Z61p with all the bells and whistles. It will be your thinnest and therefore most lightweight option. Both are 15.4" models. Stay away from a 17". Those are just simply too big.

Re: Best Laptop for 1500$?
The Alienware laptop looks great. Can you tell me if for poker 6tabling + pokertracker I would need a strong processor or would a Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Prozessor T5500 - 1,66 GHz 2 MB Cache 667 MHz FSB be sufficient.
An upgrade to 2.16 GHz / 4MB cache would be 450$. 2nd: do I need a better graphic card thant the Radeon® X1400 with 128 MB like the NVidia® GeForce Go 7600 with 256 MB [+$ 260] 3rd: is an upgrade of the hard disk to 7200RPM recommended (for playing poker + poker tracker) for 100$ I appreciate your help! |
