Re: All Time Favorite TV Moments
ODDS smodds - when you get to the final table you really have to play colser to the belt ODDS justify bad calls but you don't get there every day - I like to know I have the edge in that spot, it was only a good (sort of) call cuz of who it was.

Re: All Time Favorite TV Moments
[ QUOTE ]
When McManus called Ellix Powers bet with queen high in the 2004 $5,000 Limit Hold'em event. "He called me with jack high!!!" Can anybody find a video clip of this? [/ QUOTE ] ya, that was great. then dude (who's backstory was that he played poker for pennies on the streets), gloats and can hardly contain himself, so he goes outside for a stoge and cant stop bagging on McManus with ESPN video cameras following him around. Classic. |

Re: All Time Favorite TV Moments
My fave is Matusow blowing up vs Laak's flopped King High Flush on HSP.
The ultimate example of Matusow playing 99 hands of "perfect poker", and going broke on hand 100. |

yea tony d folding that set to hellmuth is absurd, hellmuth prolly looks back and cant believe it. [/ QUOTE ] The action went as follows. Tony D raises J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in middle position, Hellmuth postures with his stack but flatcalls on the button, flop brings K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Tony D checks and calls, turn J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Tony D checkraises small, Phil gets up from his seat looking the board and Tony D up and down, asks for a count, and 3-bets an unknown amount. With both of them reasonably deep, it's not such an absurd fold. A fun hand to watch, though. |
