when you're going to be OOP in a 5-way raised pot you should limp

Turn call is good. Check raise the river. I would also limp this hand preflop most of the time, especially in loose game.

lol the point is you're first to act. You don't know it's 5-way.

Yeah, I sometimes limp 88, sometimes I raise 88 pf, depending on how the game is playing. I chose to raise it because I thought I could get it heads up or 3 ways by raising... I thought wrong Just for the record, most hands at the table weren't quite this loose, raised pots were heads up or 3 ways usually.. I think the first cold-caller started a little chain reaction...

my point is when you're in a loose game and there is often going to be a bunch of people cold calling raises you should limp. obviously you don't know it's going to be exactly 5-ways when you raise

my opinion: you should raise if it's going to be 2-4 ways to the flop, or 8-10 ways to the flop. otherwise limp.

Default RESULTS

I checked, and unfortunately both villains checked... at that point, I figured I must've had the best hand the whole way. Instead, first Villain had A6cc for the nut flush and told me he was hoping to induce lots of callers by being the second cold caller in there preflop... second fish villain had Q2cc, so I was actually in 3rd place on the turn... I was very surprised both of them checked the river when I saw both of their hands... First Villain said he put one of us on a set so he couldn't bet the river... and I think second villain checked river out of confusion. Regardless, I think against most villains, going for the c/r here is the best play...

Thanks for the replies
-Eric
