Default Priceline.com

Has anyone used it? When you name your own price, does it really work? Do they give you an exact time on when to leave? Basically if anyone has named their own price, I'd like to hear about it.

I used it loooong time ago and he almost worked...u name a price and they can match it or propose u something.
They give you an exact time and day and you cannot change it.
I thought it became something similar to a standard etravel agent like expedia though.

They have an option that works like expedia, but they still have the name your own price feature.

I would not use it for airline tickets, but have used it for a hotel in Paris.

My friend used it for an airline ticket to Boston and wanted to stay for 3 days, 2 nights. He may not have been very specific but got hosed when he got a non-refundable ticket that had him arriving at 11pm Monday and leaving 6am on Wednesday, for a grand total of 31 hours in Boston. Man was he pissed.

I used it for a hotel in Paris and specified 4-star but the hotel was definitely not 4 stars. It was cheap though and got it for cheaper than if I had booked it without Priceline.
