Re: Critiquing Poker Tracker Stats
You don't especially have to play 20-22 VPIP to beat the game, but it makes it easier without good reading abilities (and its damn hard to read the donks since they hardly know what they have) when you're usually playing "better" hands than your opponents.
Personally I play somewhere between 20/15 and 35/25 depending on the table, but I don't recommend the latter unless you're comfortable throwing around buyins for image value against people who are paying attention and will sit with you for a while. |

Re: Critiquing Poker Tracker Stats
I agree that getting your VPIP and prf% need to become closer. This is a sign that your calling too much preflop instead of 3betting or folding. That said not every player needs to lower their VPIP to around 20. Some of the most difficult players to read have much higher VPIP of close to 30 but their prf% is also around 23-25%. Your numbers should follow your natural style of play and your post flop playing ability.
But again I repeat that regardless of the number of hands you decide to play make sure your the one raising preflop and not calling. |
