For a totally different vibe than anything anyone has mentioned--fireside lounge at the peppermill
although it's not nearly as good with the tvs they put in a few years back |

But it does not meet the requirements of the OP at all. |

The Carousel Lounge is nice but isn't it next to that arcade game where the balloons keep exploding. So much for quiet.
I like the Peppermint Lounge. No.. No.. I mean the Peppermill lounge across the street. Sit by the fire, enjoy your drinks and admire the cocktail waitress. |

Shag - with a gal Mix is a great place to hang. Amazing views, decent music and good all around vibe. Plus once you walk across the Luxor bridge to MB, the Mix elevator is just a few yards into The Hotel entrance.
