Default poker.com $10+1 Short handed

Sorry - no known hand convertor for poker.com

Top 20 get paid - 10 players left. Hero is at a 5 handed table and in 7th place.

Blinds = 500/1000.

Hero is BB with 6,100 before BB.

All fold to SB who is chip leader and very aggressive (all-in 5 of last 10 hands.)

SB makes it 2,500 to go.

Hero has Jd Td and makes the call. (Good call?)

Flop is A J 4 rainbow.

SB bets 2,500.

What next?

Terrible call. Push or fold.
You havent enough chips left in any situation here to call.

However, to answer you last question, you've hit the flop, but has he? when a very agressive player who's been pushing all in (5 in 10 hands) suddenly slows down you gotta suspect a good hand. Its push or fold time for you here. Personally I'd push. The blinds are gonna eat you up soon anyway and now you dont have enough chips to make any sort of first in steal anymore, so folding this leaves you as a sitting duck.

At that point, it's a good call.

Go all-in preflop.

To reiterate: Absolutely horrible call preflop. You should really read some 2p2 literature about tournaments - start with the Harrington books.

if he's been all in a lot and then all of the sudden makes a raise i'd be suspicious that he had more of a hand this time.

also theres smooth calling is bad and shoving isnt that good because he's not folding anything... but youre severely short and JTs isnt a bad hand to go with when youre this short stacked.

Thanks for the replies - just trying to learn more as I go.

The rest of the story: I reraised all in and he called with 88.
I hit another J on the turn.

He filled up with an 8 on the river and it was "bye-bye" time for me.

I def plan to get HoH soon.
