Default Strange Resume Skill - Beat, Brag, or Variance?

So I am reading over resumes to hire an intern for this summer for an engineering position and I stumble upon the following gem.

Under his listed skills, a candidate says, "Willing to learn the German to communicate with staff abroad."

I am no BBV expert, but here is my thinking on the situation:

Beat: "The German" is not a language

Brag: He may be a member of two plus two

Variance: What if we ask him to learn the Japan?

Learning the japan definitely sounds like some kind of fetish, probably involving [censored] on chests.

I'm going to have to start listing things I'm willing to learn on my resume as well. Thanks for the tip.

If you really knew how the Japanese were your statement wouldn't need correcting sir. I would know... my mom brought her students home several times a year every year while I was in highschool.
