Why is every Hotel in AC booked or $400 this friday night

...I know its March Madness and all, but AC doesnt even have sports books so i dont understand it. Is there something else going on in AC?

Edit: Do you know of any decently priced hotels that I wouln't find a dead hooker underneath the bed?

spring break maybe? Suck it up pay for the room. Or go to Wildwood or egg harbor. Dont but yourself in danger to save $$$$. AC isnt safe at all.

Hojo's, Super 8 and Econo lodge are all on/near the boardwalk and have rooms available for <$200 a night.

I stayed there the last time I played at the Borg. It's a short cab ride/drive from the Borg and felt clean and safe. It was $110 when the Borg was $300+ for memorial day weekend.

If you're talking about the casinos themselves, they are always that expensive on the weekend.

Cheapest I can find in the area using Travelaxe is the Super 8 in Absecon for $66. I've stayed there, it's a clean bed. Sure, it's 5-6 miles from the casinos, but so what.

call the Ascot motel directly. real shithole but right next to the Trop and was 80/night when I called directly for last weekend even though it said 150 on expedia and hotels.com. it was clean enough for me.

How much is the cab fare from Absecon to Borgata? I assume the cap doesn't apply to those trips.
