10NL: is there any way i DONT raise this on the river?
Just sat down pretty much, played about 15 hands. Not much of a read on the villain, except that he's a donkey.
Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.05/$0.10 5 players Converter Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is SB with T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG raises to $0.2, CO folds, Button calls, Hero calls, BB folds. Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($0.7, 3 players) Hero checks, UTG checks, Button checks. Turn: 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($0.7, 3 players) Hero checks, UTG bets $0.3, Button folds, Hero calls. River: Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($1.3, 2 players) Hero bets $0.8, UTG raises to $1.6, Hero raises to $4.8, UTG raises all-in $17.1, Hero calls all-in $5.5. Uncalled bets: $6.8 returned to UTG. Results: Final pot: $21.9 Villain flips over Q3os and rakes it in. I just started playing again at these stakes, and it seems like everytime I'm about to have a decent run, I run into someone or something like this. Should I actually have just called his raise here? I suspected maybe A3, definitely not what he was holding. |

I like.
The only 3's I would be worrier about are 23/34/K3 and A3. And since these hand didn't turn into a boat: Raise it up. Cooler. |

Yes this is fine. Actively seek to play more pots with villain.
