Default 99 on semi-bad flop against aggressive villain

I put him on AK... had to think I was beat. Extreme aggressive plays every hand and will play ace rag like ak.... how is my line, did I find out to early and not let up or could I have been right with putting him on AK? same villain as in my post where I had KT.. thanks 2+2

You said he played every hand, but how often was he raising? Thats the first thing to determine before you can put him on an ace. Additionally, he is probably more likely to hold a jack or queen based on how this was played.

Fold on the flop unless you make the decision to go to showdown no matter what. If decide to get to showdown, I like your line of c/c flop and lead the turn. I think you also lead the river for a smaller amount like 2.5 to get you there as cheaply as possible.

his vpip was 80% and PF 40% and AF was 6 on the flop... I figure I can't lead out on that river bc I put him on AK or something along those lines and was losing to anything that could have stayed with me....

I tried that when I got KK and he hit his ace rag on the river which he had no business being in the hand... no draws and A6 on a t38 board...

You cant put him on AK with those stats. When we talk about putting someone on a range of hands, we have to consider all the likely holdings. He could be holding many straight draw hands. He could be holding hands like Q8+ J8+ 109, K10, KQ, KJ, obviously he could have any pocket pair, and some of the time hes doing this with trash. This guy has a huge range.

But regardless, the board by the river has hit most of his range. As I said before, I think the best line is to fold the flop unless youre willing to get to showdown.

c/f the flop!! ive read a few of your posts so far and looks like your tryin to make way tooo many bluffs/fancy plays...these are gona cost you alot of money at 5NL and basically all uNL. Also looks like your puttin villians on too narrow a range, i bet villians range is soo much wider than AK here.
