Re: poker bots
I also love playing with bots. It's not just that they're so easy to beat. Most of them don't handle aggression well at all. HU I'm generally betting every flop. If they finally play back at me. Well I guess it's time to fold. There is just so much satisfaction in taking money from a bot. I like to picture the owner coming back to his 12 computer secret dungeon laboratory, opening his account and loosing his mind at the balance(probably not how it goes at all). Maybe like a "this just can't be, I thought my bot was a winnger. Noooooooooooooooooo"

Re: poker bots
[ QUOTE ]
Why does everyone complain about bots?! I'd love to play against a bot lol. Just figure out how it plays what, and then act accordingly. [/ QUOTE ] If the novice player has a hint that he or she is playing against a bot, then they stop playing because the site allows it. The conversations in the card rooms I frequent revolve around not playing internet poker because "you aren't playing against real people." The good players can exploit the bot; the bad players can't. If they leave, the games get worse and then we play against each other. Not fun. There are many points regarding bot usage, and stigmata is right. I still consider a player using a bot a cheater. You can't find bots in live poker... |

Re: poker bots
What's this talk about being hungry? Just eat the Bots. Seriously, these two posts together make me wonder if you wandered off from a group home or you are doing some strange version of trolling, but.... hmmm. In any event, they say you get what you pay for, so I suspect that a free poker bot is not the way to go. You get banned, your account gets frozen, and you lose money because the free bot sucked.

Re: poker bots
What would you say the % of bots is on a major site like Stars or FTP? I've sometimes felt like I was playing one, but thought I was just being paranoid.

Besides the rules the sites make(And some sites do allow them). I was talking about like poker rules. [/ QUOTE ] Different sites and different casinos have different rules for poker. Clearly, each site has the authority to make rules for their own game. Each significant site outlaws bots. |

Why does everyone complain about bots?! I'd love to play against a bot lol. Just figure out how it plays what, and then act accordingly. [/ QUOTE ] Look, even if you are beating a bot you may be better off without it. Think about all the players that are not beating the bot and keeps on losing money to it instead of to you and then finally goes broke and you lose a source of income. So basically, if you win less from the bots than the bots take from the donkeys that otherwise would have fallen in your pocket, then you would be better off without them. Even if you are better than they are. Bots are actually a much bigger problem than you guys think. |

If you want to avoid bots, play no-limit. [/ QUOTE ] Are bots strickly for limit games? Dont see why they couldnt play No Limit....although they would never draw out becasue the pot odds almost never lays against the flush draw |
