Default Heading to Vegas for 3 months

We are 3 guys heading for a 3 month trip to Vegas starting 2nd of may, hoping to get some american/nevadian help on a few issues.

We'll be playing both online and live, and we rank all the way from NL 0.5/1 to 5/10.
On the live front, what casinos have the stakes needed, the action needed. Which ones play with 100BB capped BI and which ones have uncapped?

Regarding online, what pokerrooms are open to play from LV, and how does it work cashing out with debit card from NETeller?

People who play live and online at the same, how do you divide your roll?

Whats the best way to live over a 3 month period, if you want a place that provides internet for online play. Would you recommend just going to vegas, booking into some of the lower class hotels such as Sahara and feeling it out for a week asking some people, or does anyone have a good tip?
What about the "poker players rate" at the hotels, is it possible getting, and can you stay there for the whole time beeing?

Is it safe having your bankroll and all lying around the apartments you rent?

It's our first trip there (as you can probably tell), and we wanna do it right first time.

One a last note; are the games really that soft?

If anyone can help out it'd be great, and/or go out have a drink with a bunch of 23 year old Scandinavians during the period, hook up some PM's or reply here. All help will be much appreciated,
thx all =)

Visit allvegaspoker.com for the list of rooms and their buyins. Only uncapped low-limit NL buyin on the strip I know of is at Wynn. Others cap the NL1/2 and NL1/3 games at $500, $300, $200, or $50. Let AVP be your guide.

Higher limits, NL2/5 is uncapped at Wynn and Caesars. $500 or $1000 cap elsewhere on the strip.

Higher limits your only choices are mostly Bellagio, Wynn, and sometimes Caesars and MGM (and during WSOP, Rio and probably Venetian).

Really high limits, it's normally just Bellagio. Wynn and Rio during WSOP.

Internet access isn't blocked so you should be able to play anywhere online. I don't know, but I don't think the online poker sites check IP addresses and try to block access from US addresses. Pretty sure you can play wherever.

For a 3mo stay, you probably want a house or townhouse/condo. That topic has been discussed here in the last 3 or 4 days. It may cost like $3000/mo but you'll get a nice place with lotsa room and usually ready-to-roll wireless Internet. WHERE you get the house will generate its own long debate. I vote for aiming to the southeast (Henderson and Green Valley, or at least near there). Google for "las vegas vacation home rental".

I wouldn't want to leave a 3mo high-stakes bankroll laying around. Vegas does have a lotta property crime.

Agree on both accounts. I like the GV area a lot and think its pretty dang nice.

As for just getting there maybe just bring like $500-$1000 in cash and just get situated the first day or two. Get moved in, unpack, and just explore and dink around in the lower limit games. Then I would just see if you can transfer funds to a bank (or a casino? Dont know if you can) and withdraw from there. Or use a CC too. That works.

Also I plan on being down in Vegas for 3 weeks towards the end of the WSOP. It will be my third time and I will be coming with a bunch of college guys who play cards too. If you want to get some drinks sometime just PM your info.

I am guessing your comment about having your bankroll at your apt/house is due to the fact none of you will have bank accounts here during your three months?

If so, I would really look into getting a box at Bellagio or whatever major casino you will be doing most of your play at once you have $15k or so in cash laying around, when you leave they can pay cash or check at that time

Also you can do EFTs to and from these accounts at Bellagio, etc but do not know how they work for international transfers

Driving past Manor Suites today I noticed all the signs out in front advertising the cheap rooms. I like the location of this place, far enough away but very convenient to get to/from the casinos. But I have no idea what it's like inside. But that's another option for a 3-mo stay. From $1116/mo for a 1BR no services suite to $1796/mo for a 2BR with maid service.
