Re: NL100 6max: facing a river shove that I hate
[ QUOTE ]
Villain is a normal player around (20/12/3). I think I also have a normal image. [/ QUOTE ] Where is 20/12/3 normal at 6max? This is a TAG, probably capable of a bluff - probably not betting a Queen for value. I think this comes to a pure read. Have you seen him river bluff before? This isn't even in the arsenal of most SSNL players. However a player with the aggro and discipline to go 20/12/3 is probably well-schooled or well-practiced. I'd lean toward folding, but would call if I've seen any river bluffs or maniac tendencies. |

Re: NL100 6max: facing a river shoveU that I hate
[ QUOTE ]
must be 66 i think he checks behind on turn here to induce a river bluff since the board paired and he doesn't have to worry about any draws [/ QUOTE ] Bingo. By calling villain's flop raise, we're basically saying we have a Q or better...so I disagree that our hand is under-repped. Checking the turn and river might have induced a bluff...but if the villain is even somewhat competent...he's not shoving a Queen here. Maybe a busted FD, but it looks an awful lot like 66 or even 22. |

Re: NL100 6max: facing a river shoveU that I hate
bet more preflop.
am I the only one who wants to bet more on the flop? were you going for a stack a donk on the turn? river is read dependent. Not every TAG is capable of a river push. |
