Fantasy Baseball--Please help!
I'm going to be doing my first ever Fantasy baseball draft on the 31st. I have very little knowledge of how to play this, I'm usually a basketball/football guy. I know and follow baseball to know that, but don't have strategy.
1) I know players like Pujols and Howard are the 1/2 slots, what abot the 3-10th in the first round? 2) When do I start going after Pitchers? Do top pitchers go in first round, like Peyton in football? 3) Who are possible steals I'll be able to get in the later rounds. Any help will be appreciated, thanks! |

Re: Fantasy Baseball--Please help!
1) Howard probably isn't #2. But your 2-10 should be these players (not in order): Reyes, A-Rod, Johan, Miguel Cabrera, Howard, Soriano, Ortiz, Utley, and Crawford.
2) The only pitcher worth drafting in the first four rounds is Johan Santana. Other then him, I'm not touching a SP until the 5+ round. Dont jump early for closers, but rather get one solid mid closer (Putz, Ray) and one or two lower closers (Fuentes, Dotel, etc.). I usually get one ace in the 5th or 6th, then fill out with high upside guys in the 11-14thish. 3) Dave Bush, Howie Kendrick, Freddy Garcia, Phillips, Fielder, Shealy, and Garko are all pretty good late round buys. |
